Retreat at the Beach

from only

Our Beach Fitness & Wellness Retreats are specifically designed for individuals who already lead an active lifestyle and are interested in continuing their fitness and adventure journey. Unlike standard fitness retreats that often offer three classes a day, our retreat focuses equally on wellness and adventure as it does on fitness. Guests have the opportunity to relax on the beach, swim in the sea, and engage in various activities that allow them to immerse themselves in the local culture and attractions.

Our retreat is ideal for individuals who want to try something new while staying active. For example, every guest is provided with a bicycle for the week to encourage exploration of the surrounding area. Our accommodation, located on the stunning Tigaki Beach on the island of Kos, provides the perfect place to unwind after a day of activities. Each guest has a private studio with an en-suite bathroom, and there are two traditional Greek restaurants on-site, one of which serves breakfast every morning.

The location of the retreat is also next to one of Kos’s most beloved nature reserves, which is home to a lake famous for its flamingos. The retreat is on the outskirts of Tigaki resort, offering easy access to local restaurants, cafes, swimming pools, and additional activities while remaining far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle.

Visit our location page to find out more about the paradise you are heading to.

The incredible Activities involved:

A bike ride to the incredible Aloe Vera Farms by Pandrosia (a local company producing amazing natural products).

Pandrosia Farms are a breathtaking 9km bike ride from our retreat, offering numerous photo opportunities along the way.

Pyli, also known as Pili, is a lush and fertile plain located at the heart of Kos Island. It is surrounded by remnants and landmarks that reveal the ancient history of the area. These include the Byzantine castle, a natural spring with ancient vaults, and the sanctuary of Dimitra and Persephone, symbolizing the cycle of fertility in the land. The Pyliotiko House, a traditional dwelling dating back centuries, serves as a living museum showcasing rich traditions, customs, and delectable local cuisine.

Within Pyli lies the Drosos family estates, covering a total of 10 hectares (100,000 square meters) of fertile green land. Paul Drosos often refers to it as his personal paradise. Three hectares of the estate are dedicated to cultivating certified, high-quality organic Aloe vera plants, scientifically known as Aloe barbadensis Miller.

On the Drosos estates, time seems to slow down, aligning with the mysterious rhythm of the earth. The land and plants are left undisturbed, allowing them to flourish and bear fruits effortlessly. “Aloe has patience, so you too must have the same,” summarizes Paul Drosos, encapsulating the philosophy behind organic Aloe vera cultivation.

Although the journey presents a few challenges, it’s achievable for fitness enthusiasts. The route includes some uphill moments, but with every uphill comes a downhill, allowing for rest and recovery. The total distance is approximately 18km round trip, but midway, we take a well-deserved break to enjoy a guided and insightful tour of the Aloe Vera Farms at Pandrosia.

In addition, we offer the option to upgrade to an e-bike, making the journey to Pamdrosia even more accessible for those who prefer a little extra assistance. The e-bike upgrade provides a comfortable ride with minimal physical exertion, allowing you to focus on the scenic route and the hot springs’ rejuvenating effects.

A Hike to the highest point of the island, Dikeos mountain.

Starting from the charming mountain village of Zia, we’ll begin our climb up Dikeos mountain towards its highest peak at 846m. Although it may not seem very high, the views from the top of Dikeos are truly breathtaking. On a clear day, you can even see Samos Island, which is approximately 90km away. Even on less clear days, the views of the neighboring islands and Turkey are still out of this world. The hike itself will take approximately 2 hours up and 2 hours down, with plenty of time to take in the island’s natural beauty at your own pace. Along the way, you’ll be surrounded by nature and all its hiking benefits. Upon returning to Zia, take some time to explore the village, browse the shops, and unwind in one of the local cafes or restaurants.

There is an additional activity* day where you can experience an activity of your choice.  These activities could include:

Horse Riding on the Beach,

Windsurfing at one of the local windsurfing centres, or

A pamper day at the traditional Artemis Hamam located in the village of Tigaki.

Or, you can add on some pampering to go with your already included poolside massage.. no better setting for relaxation.

And, if none of these activities takes your fancy you are free to organise your day, maybe you want a beach day or fancy a shopping trip to Turkey, or even visit local islands, the day is yours to explore as you wish.

*All activities on this day will not be included in the price of the retreat, and are subject to availability. Please ask for further details.

As well to all these incredible activities there will be a scheduled Fitness program which includes;

  • Pilates
  • Yoga
  • Cross Training
  • Boxing
  • TRX
  • HIIT
  • and Kettlebells

Make sure to allocate some time to rest and fully appreciate the beauty of the island while unwinding on the beach. It’s worth noting that all activities are voluntary, so you can choose what you want to participate in. If, for instance, you don’t feel like trekking to witness the breathtaking Kos views, you can opt for a leisurely bike ride and enjoy a couple of hours basking on the stunning sandy shores or indulging in a refreshing dip in the clear blue waters.

What to expect each day…

Day 1

Upon arrival at Kos Airport, you will be picked up by a transfer service that will take you to our Beachside Retreat, which is located approximately 30-45 minutes away. Gilly, your Host, will be there to welcome you and guide you to your accommodation for the week. You will have ample time to settle in and get your bearings, and she will also introduce you to your assigned bicycle for the duration of your stay.

Later on, at around 6 pm, the group will gather for the first evening meal, where you will meet your fitness instructor/assistant host and your fellow retreat participants. During this time, you will receive a comprehensive plan for the exciting week ahead.

If, for any reason, you arrive after this time, there is no need to worry. A meal will still be provided for you, and you can meet everyone else during breakfast the next day.

You will have free time to explore the village of Zia, whether it’s shopping, having coffee, or visiting the nature park.

After leaving Zia, we will head back to the Retreat. Later in the evening, you can choose from a variety of fitness classes available.

Day 6

Today, we start the day with a fitness class at a more relaxed time. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to pursue your chosen activity for the day. Before arriving, you will have discussed and booked your desired activity with Gilly. You may have opted for a sunset horseback ride, allowing for the rest of the day to be free. Alternatively, if you are looking for a new experience, you can try windsurfing, with lessons available for beginners, or equipment rentals for those with more experience. Kos is renowned for its windsurfing, so it’s a great opportunity to give it a go. If you feel like some pampering, the traditional Artemis Hamam offers a variety of packages ranging from one-hour sessions to full-day indulgences. For those who wish to explore further afield, there are options for boat trips to nearby islands or even to Turkey. If you prefer a more relaxed day, the beautiful beach is always a great option for a lazy day in the sun.

Day 7

On the final day of activities, we will begin with a Pilates or Yoga class to start the day on a positive note. Throughout the day, you will have the option to participate in a variety of fitness classes, including Aqua Fitness in the sea. However, the classes will end early to allow for an evening trip to Kos town. There, you will have the chance to experience the local cuisine and browse for last-minute souvenirs in the charming harbour area.

Day 8

On departure day, it’s time to bid farewell. We’ll be sad to see you go, but we hope you’ve had a wonderful time at the retreat and will return in the future. You’ll be transferred to the airport to catch your flight home.
