Our Beach Fitness & Wellness Retreats are dedicated to encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Each Fitness & Wellness Holiday is designed for those who already lead an active lifestyle and want to continue their fitness & adventure journey. The week is designed around a variety of conventional fitness activities/classes but also incorporates activities that allow the guests to absorb the local culture and attractions. This isn’t your standard three fitness classes a day type retreat, there is just as much focus on wellness and adventure as there is on fitness, whilst having the opportunity to relax on the beach and swim in the sea.

This retreat is perfect for somebody that wants to do something different but keep active. One small example is that every guest will be given their bicycle for the week, nobody is tied to the retreat, everybody is encouraged to go out and explore whenever they like.

The accommodation and base for the retreat is the perfect place to relax at the end of the day. It is located on the incredible sandy Tigaki Beach on the incredible Island of Kos. It is also next to one of Kos’s favourite nature reserves. The reserve is home to a lake which is famous for its flamingos. You will have your own private studio with an en-suite unless you choose to travel with a friend or partner. On-site, there are two amazing Traditional Greek Restaurants. One of which we will have breakfast every morning. You are also located on the edge of Tigaki resort itself, so there are many restaurants, cafes, swimming pools, and extra activities to choose from, but far enough away to not be disturbed by the hustle and bustle

The incredible Activities involved:

A bike ride to the Islands’ natural spa/springs. Therma beach is approximately a 20km ride from our Retreat. The route takes you on an incredible journey giving you some incredible photo opportunities eventually reaching your destination. The hot springs are a real treasure containing elements such as Potassium, Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium, Sulfur and Chlorine ideal treatments for rheumatism, arthritis and any gynaecological-related issues. The route is a bit challenging in places but not unachievable for those that like to keep fit. There are some uphill moments, but remember, for every uphill, we have to come down at some point, giving you some time to recuperate. In total, the route is approximately 40km there and back, but halfway we get to have a well-deserved break, where you get to soak up the benefits the natural spring has to offer.

(E-Bikes are available as an upgrade for those not so confident cycling longer distances).

A Hike to the highest point of the island, Dikeos mountain. Heading from the picturesque mountain village of Zia, we begin our ascent up Dikeos mountain to reach the highest peak of 846m. To some this may not seem very high, however, the views at the top of Dikeos are incredible. On a clear day, there is the prospect of seeing Samos Island which is around 90km away, so even on a less clear day to views of the neighbouring islands and Turkey are out of this world. The route itself will take approximately 2 hours up and 2 hours down, and you can take as long as you want at the top. You will venture through nature, taking in all the island’s hiking benefits. On the return to Zia, you will have the opportunity to explore the village, look around the shops and relax in one of the village’s amazing cafes or restaurants.

There is an additional activity* day where you can experience an activity of your choice.  These activities could include:

Horse Riding on the Beach,

Windsurfing at one of the local windsurfing centres, or

A pamper day at the traditional Artemis Hamam located in the village of Tigaki.

Or, you can add on some pampering to go with your already included poolside massage.. no better setting for relaxation.

And, if none of these activities takes your fancy you are free to organise your day, maybe you want a beach day or fancy a shopping trip to Turkey, or even visiting local islands, the day is yours to explore as you wish.

As well to all these incredible activities there will be a scheduled Fitness program which includes;



Cross Training




and Kettlebells.

But be sure to take time to rest and absorb the beauty of the Island and relax on the beach.

All Activities are optional, you decide what you want to take advantage of. For example, if you do not fancy hiking to see the incredible views Kos has to offer, you can go for a cycle and have a few hours to relax on the beautiful sandy beaches and take a swim in the crystal blue waters.

What to expect each day…

Day 1

Arrive at Kos Airport where you will have a transfer waiting for you to take you to our Beachside Retreat approximately 30 – 45 minutes away. When you arrive you will be greeted by Gilly your Host and she will show you to your accommodation for the week. You will have time to settle in and orientate yourself. She will also introduce you to your allocated bicycle for the week.

At approximately 6 pm the group will sit down for the first evening meal and you will be introduced to your fitness instructor/assistant host. At this time you will meet your fellow retreaters and will be given a detailed plan for the exciting week ahead.

If you do not arrive until after this time, this is not an issue, a meal will still be provided and you can meet everybody at breakfast the next day.

Day 2

There will be a fitness class taking place at 8 am if you choose to take part, please remember nothing is mandatory, everything is voluntary… take part in what takes your fancy. Following the class, a buffet breakfast will be available between the hours of 9 am and 10 am (don’t worry if you take a little longer).

Other than lunch nothing else is scheduled until 5 pm when there will be an evening of fitness class, sunset yoga/Pilates and an evening meal. Take the free time to go and explore the local sites if you wish.

Day 3

An early start on Day 3 if you wish – We are going for a guided bike ride to the Thermal springs of Kos. The bike ride in total is approximately 40km, however, we are going to take a break halfway and take the opportunity to soak up the healing properties the natural spring is said to give. The route itself will take you along the coast road and through Kos Town.

After returning to the Retreat, there will be some time for you to relax and then there will be an evening of fitness classes if you wish to take part. There will also be a sunset pilates/yoga class taking place which after a morning of the cycle will be an amazing way to finish the day.

Day 4

Let’s start the day with Yoga… what an amazing way to start the day.

The day will then have a selection of fitness classes available.

There is also an opportunity to go and do some local exploring on your bike if you wish – Ask Gilly for some ideas.

Day 5

An early start today – we want to start the hike up Mount Dikeos before it gets too hot. So Breakfast is highly recommended and then you will jump in the organised transport to the mountain village of Zia. From there we will begin our hike up to the highest point of the island to experience the incredible views. The hike is a moderate level, for those trail runners, it is possible to run, and it is signposted reasonably well. When in Zia, you will have time to enjoy the village, go shopping, go for a coffee, maybe visit the nature park – see what takes your fancy.

After leaving Zia, you will return to back to the Retreat.  During the evening there will be a selection of fitness classes available.

Day 6

It’s not so early today, we start the day with a fitness class and then time to get on the way to your chosen activity. At the beginning of the week, you will have booked with Gilly the activity, this could be Horse Riding, you could have chosen to Horse Ride at sunset which means the rest of the day is yours. You may want to learn something new, a windsurfing lesson is available, or if you are a seasoned windsurfer, we can arrange the rental of the equipment, Kos is famous for windsurfing. You may feel you have done too much exercise and a bit of pampering is in order, that’s where the traditional Artemis Hamam comes in. The Hamam has many packages available that you can choose from, you could spend an hour there or you could spend all day there. You may want to explore further than Kos Island, there are options to go on boat trips to local islands and even across to Turkey. Or, you may find that these activities are not for you and you want to have a lazy day at the beach.

Day 7

Last day of activities, so we will start the day off right with Pilates or Yoga and then throughout the day, there will be a selection of fitness classes, we may even do some Aqua Fitness in the Sea. However, the classes will finish early as we will head to Kos town in the early evening to sample the local cuisine in the harbour. This is also a great opportunity to get those last-minute gifts to take home.

Day 8

Departure day, it’s time to say farewell. We will say goodbye and you will hop on your transfer to the airport. We will be sad to see you go but hopefully, you will enjoy the retreat so much you will return.
