Second year coming to Gilly’s retreats but the first time I treated myself to the luxury villa retreat.  It won’t be the last.  I loved every minute.  The villas are gorgeous and the layout of the resort superb.  It really did feel like a special place where care has been taken with the surroundings.  Loved all the activities – including the brilliant classes headed by Anna who is exceptionally knowledgeable and I even had one or two personal bests!  The hike and bike ride were exhilarating – challenging but that is the point!  The outside gym has pretty much everything you need for a great active holiday and the yoga, stretch sessions and pilates were welcome changes of pace.  I can’t wait for next year.  Gilly’s retreats are the perfect balance between active and chill – you’ll feel both invigorated and rested.  Highly recommended.  And we weren’t all about being abstemious either!  Plenty of wine was consumed and great conversation had.  I was travelling alone and but this would suit solo travellers or couples / friends.

I loved it here. From the calmness and peace of the surroundings to the amazing support from Gilly and Charlotte, I can’t recommend this retreat enough. You don’t need to be at the peak of physical fitness, I am quite far from that and there are parts that are definitely challenging, but with support, all our possible. I arrived feeling tired and world-weary after 2 years of living in a pandemic and left refreshed, revitalised and more like me. I was sad to leave and will be back.

We booked onto the retreat at the last minute after another holiday booking fell through. Not really knowing what to expect when we arrived late at night on our first day. From the moment we arrived Gilly was a brilliant host and the whole trip was even better than we expected.
The retreat provides a varied experience of activities from HIIT classes and circuits to beach pilates and yoga. Gilly has also built in opportunities to really see the island with a guided bike ride and hike.
The programme is varied and flexible, it is cleverly put together by Gilly and the instructor (in our case the wonderful Ashlee) to allow each person to participate at their own level and push their fitness goals. There is no obligation to do any of the activities but there is something for everyone included.
In addition to the fitness activities, there is plenty of spare time to explore the surrounding area. The accommodation is a short journey from the beaches at Tigaki or nearby Kos town.
The accommodation is cosy and inviting, set in an olive grove. There are apricots and lemons to pick off the trees. The litter of kittens also provided much entertainment. The breakfasts are lovely and there is a good variety of food provided for dinners.
Gilly could not have done more for us during the trip. She met us to welcome us despite our flight’s late arrival and had arranged for a meal box to be available. She provided a welcome pack in the room including some local produce. She even arranged a cake to celebrate a birthday on the trip. I would definitely recommend this trip and would happily return for another week.

Myself and Claire arrived as two first-time retreaters, not really sure what we had booked ourselves into, but we both agree we had the most wonderful time of our lives. From the moment we were introduced to Gilly and Ashlee, a sense of calm enriched us and we felt very at ease in our new surroundings. The whole week was full of activity, Ashlee is an outstanding trainer and her classes were challenging and fun. Gilly’s 30km bike ride was the highlight of my week, cycling in the gorgeous sunshine and then soaking our bodies in the Thermal Springs was just amazing. The adventures kept coming, Hiking, Aqua Aerobics, Pilates, Yoga, and Horse Riding to name a few. You can suit the entire week to your own limits, take part, don’t take part., it’s totally up to you. We had a really lovely group of ladies and it was a pleasure to connect with them all. We left feeling on top of the world, with the promise to return in the future.

I had a truly incredible week at the Victory Fitness Beach Retreat and can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for an active week away.

From start to finish the whole thing was well thought out and was flexible enough to cater for everyone’s needs.

Fitness activities range from yoga to bike rides and hikes to circuits or Pilates on the beach. Every activity was opt-in or opt-out and is tailored to individual capability with positive encouragement continually provided.

The guesthouse was located in a beautiful rural location, a short bike ride/taxi from anything you could possibly want/need, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Food was wonderful with a variety of locally grown or produced products used throughout the week.

Thank you so much to Gilly for going above and beyond to create an experience that is so much more than a fitness retreat but a truly enjoyable active holiday.

I booked a fitness and wellness retreat hoping for a structured and active holiday. I was not disappointed. Everything was extremely well organised so super relaxing.

This holiday has been active and energizing, challenging and rewarding and highly fulfilling on a human level. The group of people from different countries and cultures that found their way together during the week enriched the experience and gave it an extra special touch.

So many happy memories, whether the landscape, the cats and dog at the guesthouse, the amazing sunrises, the delicious food, the crazy wind, the many many laughs, or the tranquillity of happy tired people, I will cherish them all and am deeply grateful for this week packed with happy memories.

After seven years of not going on holidays, I definitely compensated this year.

This was indeed a busy Greek summer – Second stop:

Fitness and Wellness retreat on Kos Island organised by lovely Gilly from Victory Fitness Beach.

One challenging week filled with fitness classes, Pilates, mobility, weights, yoga, aquagymnastik, fun, new friends, amazing and professional personal trainers, close to nature, lovely beaches, great sunsets, tasty food and discovering Kos – an amazing, lively and fun Greek island.

Highly recommended
